 Generators Maintenance 

The generators are maintained by highly skilled personnel with the service and routine schedules done as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. The intention must be to effectively maintain a generator ensuring the maximum possible efficiency from the unit during its full operational life. Our generator servicing includes both the interior and exterior of the Generator Housing. All the control system safety devices should be operating correctly and all electrical connection and terminations checked to be tight. To ensure that the quality of service is achieved, there is a maintenance checklist and service checklist that is used every time the site is visited. Before the visit is over, all the power alarms are tested with NMC and left to be working. They are: AC Mains Failure, Generator running, Generator Mains Failure, Low fuel and High fuel. The following is a normal maintenance specifically for generators. It covers the basic requirements for team on Planned Maintenance and Emergency Maintenance visits.

Solar Systems

We ensure the solar systems are delivering optimum power output by carrying out periodic preventive maintenance. This involves cleaning the solar to ensure no sediments or dust settles on the solar surface. Carry out visual inspection to locate any damage on the solar panel. All modules found not delivering expected power or found damaged are replaced immediately on detection during the preventive maintenance. A comprehensive report on the solar condition is then submitted to client after every preventive maintenance or Corrective maintenance visit.

Rectifier and Inverter Systems

During the periodic preventive maintenance all the visual alarms if any on the rectifier are noted, analyzed, and route cause established and resolved. Input voltage and current are measured and confirmed whether they are within the specifications. Output voltage and current are measured and confirmed whether they all are within the specifications. System Loading are analyzed and we recommend power upgrade where necessary. A comprehensive report on rectifier operation and condition is then submitted to client after every preventive maintenance visit.

Site Fueling

Fueling process is one of the most vital operations in the maintenance procedures. A fuel schedule is prepared keeping in mind the site conditions and generator consumption rates from the manufacturer. The whole process is handled expertly to make sure there is no fuel spillage and retain the quality of the product from the supplier end to the sites. We ensure that no site goes out of service due to fuel.

Battery Banks

Effective battery maintenance is essential to ensuring that the batteries attain design life span and deliver optimal performance throughout their life. Charging and discharging of the batteries shall be as per the manufacturers recommendation to ensure long life of the batteries. Connections to batteries are periodically checked to ensure that there is a good connection. Care must be taken to ensure that strings of batteries contain batteries of similar age and the new batteries are not introduced into strings with old batteries as this can impair the operation of the batteries. Voltage readings must be taken and be recorded every month throughout the life of the batteries in the DC system. Discharge tests are carried out at a frequency specified in the Manufacturers‟ Operations and Maintenance Manuals.
We have equipped out field technicians with MEGGER BATTERY TESTER, a tool capable of detecting battery condition. This enables us to detect a deteriorating battery in a battery bank and have it replaced before the bank fails. This tool is very useful in testing of maintenance free (Or sealed) batteries. A comprehensive report on the battery condition is submitted to client after every preventive maintenance or Corrective maintenance visit.
